Marble Sarrancolin (Ilhet and Beyrède quarries) is the result of a traditional process in the Pyrénées. Limestone ( Cretaceous here and specifically Cenomanian ) were adjusted vertically by the Tertiary tectonics. Was followed by a period of fracturing, brecciation, karstification and filling the fractures and conduits, during the Tertiary ( Paleogene and Neogene ) in continental environment , the Pyrénées are now emerged .

It is the iron from the Permo -Triassic neighbour with sodium, assuring the filling, marble confer its globally recognized beauty (variety Opéra Fantastico in particular).

L’opéra Fantastico is extracted from the Quarry Ilhet, located in Sarrancolin in the Pyrénées.
